Dinel, Sile and Pompiliu, three men from a provincial Romanian town, win the big lottery prize, but very soon the lottery ticket gets lost, so the three characters set out ona journey to recover it.
Paul Negoescu was born in 1984 in Bucharest. He studied Film Directing at the national film school. He directed several short films awarded and selected at many international film festivals, including Cannes (Semaine de la Critique, 2012), Berlin (2008, 2009, 2010), Karlovy Vary, Slamdance or Rotterdam. Two of his short films (Renovation and Derby) were nominated at the European Film Academy Awards, 2009, 2011. His debut feature film, A month in Thailand had its premiere at the
IFF Venice 2012 (International Critics’ Week); awarded the FIPRESCI Prize at IFF Sofia and Best Debut at IFF Transilvania. His sophomore,Two Lottery Tickets, a micro-budget independent film, became the most successful Romanian film at the box office in the modern era of film distribution and was very well received by critics and festivals. His third film, The Story of a Summer Lover, is scheduled to be released in autumn 2018.
